Boris Andrianov

Cello

Boris Adrianov (Moscow, 1976) studied at the Gnessin Institute in Moscow, and with Natalia Sjakovskaja at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow. He continued his studies at the Hans Eisler Hochschule in Berlin with David Geringas. He won first place at different international competitions in Zagreb, Paris, and Seoul. Boris Andrianov collaborated with many contemporary composers, and premiered new works of, among others, Giya Kantsjeli, Krzysztof Penderecki, and Giovanni Sollima. 

He released several award-winning albums, including works with guitarist Dimitry Illarionov. Adrianaov is artistic director of several festivals, including Vivacello, the cello festival of Moscow. 

Boris Adrianov teaches at the Moscow Conservatory and plays a cello made by Carlo Bergonzi.
