For the Winter Tour 2024, the orchestra will perform the magnum opus, 'The Ninth Symphony', by the Austrian composer Anton Bruckner and Elgar's cello concerto. Bruckner specialist Martin Sieghart, also from Austria, will lead the orchestra. He has close ties with the Netherlands because he was chief conductor of the Gelders Orchestra for many years. The soloist is the Dutch top cellist Harriet Krijgh, who has lived in Vienna for years. The Viennese connection of this program is made complete by the fact that the NJO has been invited to play the last concert of the series of seven in the world-famous Golden Hall of the Musikverein in Vienna.
