This tender and poetic cartoon, based on a short story by Kenji Miyagawa, one of the most widely read authors of his century, is still being shown in Japanese cinemas. The voices of this Japanese film are spoken live in Dutch. The voice of Gôshu will be provided by Chieko Donker Duyvis from Japan and the Netherlands. She will give a short performance on the cello prior to the film. The other roles will be spoken by actor Stan Limburg.
