Chieko Donker Duijvis

Cello

Chieko Donker Duyvis is a cellist, singer, and composer from Amsterdam, with Brazilian and Japanese roots.  During this Cello Biennale she will play an important role in the children’s performance Family Vermi-Celli. 

Chieko has a passion for interdisciplinary projects and regularly collaborates with poets, dansers, and visual artists. During the Grachtenfestival she was the new ‘Young Creator’. There she had the opportunity to combine jazz, improvisation, classical music, Brazilian grooves, and her own compositions in her own unique style.
