Lyrical jazz meets classical finesse

In 2024, three musical adventurers — the Dutch harmonica player Hermine Deurloo, the French accordionist Vincent Peirani, and the English pianist Gwilym Simcock — met each other in London for the first time. During the Cello Biënnale, this meeting finds a fascinating continuation as they combine forces with the phenomenal top cellist François Salque.

This French master cellist is renowned for his chamber music playing and now lifts this group to another dimension where chamber music and improvisation no longer contradict, but encourage each other. A unique collaboration, specially created for the Biënnale, in which four musicians with their own voices melt together into one adventurous dialogue.
