Piano

Théo Fouchenneret (1994) studied with Christine Gastaud at the Conservatoire de Nice and went on to earn the highest distinctions at the Conservatoire in Paris with Alain Planès, Hortense Cartier-Bresson, and Jean-Frédéric Neuburger. In November 2018, he won the first prize at the Geneva International Music Competition, after which he was nominated for the ‘Révélation, soliste instrumental’ (Revelation Instrumental Soloist of the Year) at the Victoires de la Musique Classique. That same year, he won the first prize and five special prizes at the Lyon International Chamber Music Competition.

He is an in-demand guest at major halls and festivals, and performs with musicians such as Victor Julien-Laferrière, Renaud Capuçon, François Salque, Lise Berthaud, and Svetlin Roussev.

In 2020, he released his first solo CD with La Dolce Volta, a recording dedicated to Beethoven’s ‘Waldstein’ and ‘Hammerklavier’ Sonatas. His new CD, featuring Gabriel Fauré’s Nocturnes, was released under the same label in 2024.

Théo is the initiator of the project to record Robert Schumann’s complete chamber music works, which began in 2023, together with his brother Pierre Fouchenneret.
