The Hello Cello Orchestra plays a key role in every Cello Biennale, offering a seat to 160 young cellists (<18) from the whole of the Netherlands. As in previous editions of the Cello Biennale, the Hello Cello Orchestra will be taking the stage during the opening weekend. And this year, they’ll be performing music specially composed for them by jazz cellist Jörg Brinkmann and vocal artist Abdelhadi Baaddi.

The orchestra will be rehearsing in Amstelveen, Tilburg, The Hague and Zwolle ahead of their opening performance.
