Biënnale TV 2026 #8 - The Anner Bijlsma Award

On the evening of Wednesday 4 November, following the ‘Chant du Ménestrel’ concert, cellist Steven Isserlis received the Anner Bijlsma Award: a lifetime achievement award presented once every four years to an individual or organisation that has made an exceptional contribution to the cello and the cello repertoire. Biënnale TV spoke to Isserlis about his relationship with Anner Bijlsma (and with Anner’s dog) and about his plans for the prize money.
