Anissa Nehari
Percussion
Anissa Nehari is a French-Algerian percussionist, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist. From a young age, everything revolved around rhythm for her – first through rapid-fire rapping in hip-hop style, later through percussion instruments directly. “Everyone has their own rhythm,” is her motto, and it’s for exactly that reason that she is so popular today.
She plays cajón, ocean drum, guitar, and sings, drawing on her Algerian roots. Nehari is a member of French-Algerian vocalist and cellist Nesrine’s trio, alongside pianist Léo Jassef, and has performed with them in venues such as the Philharmonie Luxembourg, as well as previously at the Bimhuis in Amsterdam and Moods in Zurich, promoting Nesrine’s album "Kan Ya Makan" (2024).
