From 20 to 29 October 2022, the Muziekgebouw and BIMHUIS will host the Amsterdam Cello Biennale.
Ten days of a jam-packed programme by international cellists, famous ensembles and great orchestras featuring (contemporary) classical music, jazz, pop, rock, singer-songwriters, improvisation, electro and music from various cultures.
A real festival day starts early in the morning at Bach&Breakfast with a breakfast and a cello suite by Bach. Then attend a masterclass by a top international cellist or opt for a classical concert in the Great Hall of the Muziekgebouw. There are also children's concerts, such as the Family Vermi-Celli - a musical road trip about adapting and being yourself for everyone from 5 years old. End the day swinging in the BIMHUIS at the non-classical CELLOFEST. Especially for CELLOFEST, L.E.J is coming to the Netherlands this year, the French girl-pop group that already has several top-40 hits on its record and millions of YouTube views.
