Ketevan Roinishvili (Tblisi, 1987) comes from a musical family in Georgia. From 2003 onward, she studied at the Conservatory of Tbilisi with Tamara Gabarishvili. Thanks to Lev Markiz and the 'Foundation Friends of the Conservatory of Tbilisi', she was able to come to Amsterdam in 2008, where she obtained her bachelor's degree cum laude in 2012 as a student of Dmitri Ferschtman. After that she studied with Reinhard Latzko in Vienna and back in the Netherlands with Floris Mijnders.
Ketevan took first prize in the National Competition of Georgia in 2007 with her performance of Edward Elgar’s cello concerto and received an award at the International Dotzauer Cello Competition in Dresden. In 2009 she won the “Servais” prize at the international Servais Competition in Ghent.
In 2013, Ketevan received the 'Radio 4 scholarship' in the Dutch Classical Talent competition.
