For the first time the famous Queen Elisabeth Competition was a cellocompetition. Over 200 cellists from around the world registerd, 70 were selected and only 12 got to play a cello concerto of their choice during the finals. “The Competition” was won by the french cellist Victor Julien-Laferrière (27).
Victor will be visiting the Cello Biënnale 2018 on October 19th to perform one of the greatest cello concerto's ever written together with the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra, the Cello Concerto of Antonín Dvořák.
