It’s been a fixed item on the menu since the very first edition of the Cello Biennale Amsterdam way back when – a Bach cello suite performed by a different cellist each and every morning for six days, accompanied by a hot croissant, a cappuccino and a freshly squeezed orange juice.
Early each morning, the Muziekgebouw’s foyer fills with cello students and fanatics, classical music aficionados, and others simply looking to soak up the ambience before heading off to work.
