With an average of 92% hall occupancy, the 6th edition of the Cello Biënnale Amsterdam has attracted a record number of visitors. Between October 20 and October 29, a total of 29.118 people came to visit the Muziekgebouw and the Bimhuis. This is even more than in 2014. In total, 24.228 tickets were sold and additionally, 4890 visitors attended the free programme items.
At the preliminary events, like the Cello&Film festival in EYE, the presentation of the short story collection “Vier Variaties voor Cello” (“Four Variations for Cello”) in the Openbare Bibliotheek Amsterdam (Amsterdam Public Library), the Hello Cello Days in Eindhoven, Amstelveen, Den Haag and Zwolle, and the education project “De Bestorming” at numerous primary schools in Amsterdam, over 3300 visitors attended.
