Florien Hamer

Cello and vocals

Florien Hamer studied at the Artez Conservatory with Jeroen Reuling. She later continued  her studies at the Conservatory of Antwerp with Jaap Kruithof. 

With her ensemble SOIL she performed pieces by young composers, and made musical theater productions for festivals like Oerol, Noorderzon, and the Wiener Festspiele, touring at home and abroad. SOIL creates productions together with theater or dance groups such as ZT Hollandia, the Hans Hof Ensemble, Plan-D, and theater group Bloody Mary. She wrote the toddler performance Het Lied van Boom specifically for the Cello Biennale.
