Ophélie Gaillard

Cello

Ophélie Gaillard is a teacher at the Haute Ecole de Musique Genève and a highly sought-after masterclass teacher and competition jury member. Since her youth, Ophélie has devoted herself to the authentic performance of baroque music and composers such as Carl Philipp Emanuel Bah and Boccherini. This led to several CD’s and the foundation of Pulcinella, a collective of virtuous musicians, interested in historically informed performing and playing on ‘authentic’ instruments. In addition to performing the other ‘classical’ repertoire, Ophélie Gaillard also worked with dancers such as Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Damien Jalet, and Ibrahim Sissoko.

Ophélie Gaillard plays a cello built by Francesco Goffriller (1737).
