As a chamber music pianist he worked with Emmy Verhey, Floris Mijnders, Paul Komen, and Godfried Hoogeveen. Juan Zurutuza took lessons and masterclasses with Edith Grosz-Lateiner, Jorge Luis Prats, and Aldo Ciccolini, among others.
