Andrea Leine & Harijono Roebana

Choreography and musical dramaturgy

Andrea Leine is a Dutch dancer and choreographer. Since 1989, she has worked together with the Dutch choreographer Harijono Roebana in their shared dance company LeineRoebana. They have developed their own language of movement and combine dance with other disciplines in a unique way, primarily with music. In doing so they go further than usual. The choreographers opt for live music and regularly ask for a special contribution from composers, instrumentalists, and singers. They commissioned composition assignments from composers such as Yannis Kyriakides and Maarten Altena.
