Steuart Pincombe


Steuart Pincombe (United States) studied cello with Darrett Adkins, and viola da gamba with Catharina Meints. He performed as a soloist and player of chamber music at various eminent American and European festivals and concert Venues.

He is also a member of the Holland Baroque Society – with whom he played as a soloist at the Cello Biennale in 2014 – and of Oerknal! His recording of Bach’s second suite for All of Bach was released to international praise, and his latest album The Cello in my Life won an Edison Klassiek in 2021. Together with his wife, he founded the Music in Familiar Spaces Artist Collective. Since a few years, Steuart Pincombe lives on an off-grid farm in Missouri.
