Daniël Kramer is known as a versatile and passionate pianist, and regularly performs on stages across The Netherlands and abroad. He started studying with Ton Hartsuiker a a young age, and went on to study at the Conservatory of Amsterdam with Håkon Austbø, where he received his Master’s degree with distinction. He also received lessons from Rudolf Jansen, Willem Brons, Murray Perahia, and Claude Helffer. He is a laureate of the Prinses Christina Concours 1994, the Concorso Seghizzi 2008, and the Concours Olivier Messiaen in Paris 2007. As a chamber musician, Daniël has worked with musicians such as Janine Jansen, Nobuko Imai, Liza Ferschtman, and Charles Neidich. He has performed as a soloist with renowned orchestras including the Residentie Orkest, the Radio Chamber Philharmonic under Peter Eötvös, the Netherlands Chamber Orchestra under Werner Herbers, and the National Youth Orchestra under Reinbert de Leeuw. He was worked with various composers including George Benjamin, Louis Andriessen, Toshio Hosokawa, and Sofia Gubaidulina, and has premiered numerous contemporary works.
